Coach Taylor
Taylor Yates
Softball Coach, Founder
I coach pitchers with a development-first mindset, focused on building confident, self-sufficient athletes who understand their movement, their training, and their process.
As a former collegiate pitcher with experience coaching across youth, travel, and high school levels, I approach development with structure, consistency, and honest feedback, not quick fixes.
My goal is to give pitchers the tools to think for themselves, make adjustments with confidence, and grow both in and out of the circle.

Experience Across Every Stage of Pitcher Development
I’ve coached pitchers across youth, travel, and high school levels, working with athletes at many different stages of physical and mental development. That range has taught me how to recognize common plateaus, confidence dips, and mechanical patterns before they turn into long-term issues.
Rather than teaching one universal style, I adapt my coaching to the athlete in front of me, helping pitchers build skills that match their age, body awareness, and goals.
A Player’s Perspective That Shapes My Coaching
My background as a collegiate pitcher informs how I coach today, especially when it comes to understanding the physical and mental demands pitchers face as competition increases.
That experience allows me to coach with long-term health, confidence, and sustainability in mind, helping athletes prepare not just for the next pitch, but for continued growth over time.
I believe strong pitching development comes from structure, consistency, and honest feedback. Progress is built through understanding movement, developing body awareness, and learning how to make adjustments with confidence.
My goal is not to create pitchers who rely on constant instruction, but athletes who understand what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how to self-correct over time.
How I Coach

Who I Work Best With
I work best with pitchers and families who value long-term development, consistent effort, and open communication. The athletes I coach are encouraged to take ownership of their training while being supported by parents who understand that growth takes time.
Whether the goal is confidence, performance, or preparation for higher levels of play, my focus is on helping each pitcher build a strong, sustainable foundation.
